Is this safe?
Yes. Hyaluron injections are too superficial to cause permanent damage or adverse
side effects. I am a medical professional working under a nurse practitioner's medical direction whilst also navigating an accredited clinical nursing program to obtain RN licensure. I ensure my clients are treated, then discharged, with proper care and education to prevent things like cellulitis, abnormal inflammation, prolonged lymphedema, etc. Although the pen is not yet board regulated, it is most commonly used by trained aesthetic professionals and nurses. Clients may also opt to receive traditionally administered cosmetic injections, however, this treatment preference does require NP medical direction and entails additional steps, as well as disclosures.
Who can administer aesthetic injections?
Trained cosmetic and aesthetic professionals should administer aesthetic injections. Nurses and physicians are the only professionals who can administer medical-grade injections, which these do not identify as. No needle is present during hyaluron aesthetic injection processes.
Does this hurt?
No. Most clients report that the injections feel like a light prick. Some areas may be more sensitive than others, but overall, these treatments take anywhere from 2-5 minutes from start to finish. Following administration of treatments, clients can expect some normal and temporary side effects, like tenderness in the treatment area, pinpoint bleeding (ceases within a few minutes), acute swelling (not as common, but completely normal and will not last long), and / or inflammation (may be evidenced by redness, but some inflammation is normal-- this is the body's way of healing and clients are advised to take an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication, like aspirin or ibuprofen, to help relieve side effects quicker)
How do hyaluron-administered injections work if there aren't any needles?
Hyaluron pens create just enough tension and pressure to penetrate the skin, typically, just beneath the dermis.
These are intradermal and subcutaneous injections, depending on which treatment is being done, where serum is superficially placed and absorbed by the body appropriately, making them excellent for targeted contouring, as well as client convenience, timely gratification, safety and effectiveness.
What is in the serum?
Each serum has its own listing of organic ingredients. Please reach out to me directly for ingredient listings
and nutrition facts. Consultations and scheduling disclosures within the paperwork do review allergens, candidacy and all risk factors in layman's terms to ensure client understanding and full disclosure. All serums are safe, hypoallergenic, effective and have been tested.
Is this safe to do with body sculpting?
YES! In fact, I recommend doubling up and receiving both types of treatments. Injections work well alone,
as does body sculpting, but like all great things, two is absolutely better than one.
Injections are a safe and great reinforcer for body sculpting procedures.
