What's Included?
Students who attend in-person / traditional certification courses will receive refreshments throughout. Students will take home a reference book with notes, an officiated and sealed certification, as well as a thank-you card and gift bag.
Virtual students will be given an e-book prior to the start of the course. In most cases, an officiated and sealed certification will be mailed to the virtual learner following successful completion of their course. Most virtual students also receive an e-gift card as a thank-you incentive, as well as for fuel during the course!
Mentorship?
With certification from me, you will never feel let down or confused! I make an appoint to continue to precept, support and mentor all course attendees beyond their course date. Starting a business can be scary, as well as risky. I am here for all of my students for however long they need me! My students leave with confidence, a plethora of information and a new networking circle for their new business endeavour. Teaching is a hard job and amazing students, as well as rewarding outcomes, make it worthwhile. Contact me for details and enroll today!
Networking?
I am very big on sisterhood, girl bosses and women supporting / empowering other women. Successful completion of a certification course with me inserts you into my student networking portal, full of other people, like yourself, who invested in themselves, are motivated and practice body sculpting or other beauty and cosmetic services. We have to stray away from competitiveness and realize that together, everyone achieves more! When creating the student networking portal, my intention was to have an intimate support space where we can vent as busy business-women, share resources, update one another on new field innovations and grow together. Anytime I host an entrepreneur networking event, my students are the first to hear and receive discounted, priority ticketing. Students are able to speak on event panels and fully reap the benefits of this business mentorship opportunity!
Licensing?
In my home state, Virginia, a license is not required for body contourists. What is required, however, is liability insurance, license to practice and operate a facility (business license), OSHA certification and proper documentation (client profiles, consent forms and signed waivers, regulatory compliance logs, etc.). At this time, there is no regulatory board for body sculpting, as it is fairly new and labeled as breakthrough, or innovative practice. You may often see medical estheticians (aestheticians), nurses and laser technicians carrying licensure while rendering body contouring services. Without any of these, it is best to adhere to medical spa guidelines and register your business as a categorized service provider for spa, cosmetic and / or non-invasive laser procedures. For certain procedures, a nurse or physician's guidance and practice involvement is required. It is very important to consider verbiage and description of services, careful not to violate any restrictions relative to the non-invasive label. I encourage each student to conduct his or her own further research, specific to state, and ensure proper coverages.
